Explain this quote? "Ability is the art of getting credit for all the home runs somebody else hits."?

Someone sent me this quote, and it doesn't make sense to me. Can you explain it, please? Thank you.

Wow that's a messed up quote. LOL It means just as the others said, getting credit for someone else s doing. Although that is called cheating in my book, but hey I guess to each their own.

It doesn't make sense.  I understand the meaning, but I don't like it.  It says you are smart if you can find a way to take credit for other's work.

That doesn't seem like ability to me...if your are taking credit for success of others then that is...laziness and deception.

To me this is a poor quote.  It reminds me of a politician who surrounds himself with talented competent people then takes the credit for their successess and claims their work as his own.  So does that make you able?  I suppose that some people may agree.  Especially the author of this quote.
