Explain to me: The Turkey Drown Effect

And why does it happen? why are Turkeys like that! WE JUST WANT TO EAT YOU! lol, but seriously people do die from drowning in their own vomit right? but when they're dead drunk I think it's somehow related to the Turkey drown effect!

Turkeys don't actually drown in the rain, that's a myth. If they did they'd have died out as soon as that trait became prevalent. And people drown in their vomit because they're unconscious and don't know or otherwise unable to move.
