What to put in it how to maintain it, what not to put in it, and where to put it and what to do with it when its done, does it get done?

  1. Here is everything you want to know and more.  Besides giving you something good to feed your garden, it reduces the amount of 'garbage' that goes to the landfill.  The two biggest rules are:  No meat, no dairy.

  2. First buy a composter. I have a plastic one which is really good.

    Place it on bare soil , mine is also in the sun which speeds up the process.

    Begin to fill with fruit peel, veggie peelings, eggs shells, grass clippings shredded paper. Do not put bones, meat or too many weeds in.

    Every couple of weeks give the whole mixture a good mix. This will help create air pockets and improve the compost.

    After 3-6 months you should have some lovely compost which you can use in pots or around your garden or on a veggie patch. I planted some violas in pots last September and they still look lovely with lots of blooms.
