  1. I believe it goes back to African Indians not being recognized and freedmen and slaves of African descent being apart of the civil war and also Native Americans' being bounty hunters for the capture of African slaves...The Native American used the women, African salves for population increase (I feel the hurt) & all their cultures got a afro proverb from that.  I think we need to question why only "black & white Americans are subjected to reference to color on a daily basis,  while other colors get Pronouns like African, Asian, European, Saudi Arabian, Mexican, Puerto Rican, etc but we friends?   How can we be friends when we can't be identified for who we are?  My people are barely on the map.  African Native American/black Indian or  even African Americans who are descendants of Africans.  We are a melting pot that symbolizes America and to hate us is to hate yourself.  I fell for the fallacy until I started understanding what I am reading.

  2. nothing here in fallon... were all cool... wats up with ur town?

  3. I am almost 45yrs old, and have seen racism on both sides, where it started? What came first, the chicken or the egg? I come from a unique position, my mother taught me racism, although I did not accept it, I was not accepted by my "people" [mexicans], because we were poor. All the other kids were from families who's fathers worked in the steel mills, owned decent homes, and had plastic on their furniture. We on the other hand lived in subsidized housing, without a father, so we were looked down on. So I found friends who would accept me. As it turn out these people were black, which turned the latin people even more against me. When I would go to some of my black friends houses, some of their mothers would tell them not to let the "messican", in their house. Which they did anyway! I also remember the race fights that would happen, inevitable, every year at my high school. Me and my black friends would stand in the parking lot, during lunch hour and watch the frays. These things never affected our connection. We only knew the friendship and comraderie. We cared for each other, cried when we were sad, drank and got high when one of us had the money and laughed. Cruised around in the hooptie when one of us got the money to get one, and stole the gas to run it. Ya, we were thugs. Well all I can say is tomorrow I will be going to one of my boy's house to pick him up and hang out tomorrow. Needless to say we don't do the same thing we used to do, we do play some ol skool music and reminisce about the stuff we used do. Racism does exist! We continue to hate each other, that goes for all races, some of it is national pride in their heritage. Some of it is ignorance, but it has been going on for a long time. By the way, I listen to RnB mainly but I like everything from hair bands, to Reggae, to Classical, but I can't stand messican music.        ;~)

  4. I have no idea, I wish I knew.

My Mexican grandmother is VERY racist towards black people, since she is old she has no verbal filter and pops off the n' word whenever she feels like, in public.

In my close circle of friends, it is myself (mexican),  a black guy, a white guy, and a saudi arabian.  I never understood racism, and it is sadly something that will be around until we all nuke eachother.

  5. one component is that Hispanics, both legal and illegal, are competing for the same jobs as the generaly already in poverished black people. I think on closer anaylsis , This may be more preception as opposed to reality.

There is also a Gang issue where Hispanic, Black , and Asian Gangs are all very violent against each other.

  6. there is no beef it is chicken

  7. Don`t know. What about black hispanics?

  8. Statistics do show that there is a fairly high level of distrust between most ethnic minorities, as well as the majority in reference to minorities.  Conflict theorists might suggest that our society is set up to maintain conflict between groups, particularly minorities and lower socio-economic classes.  Basically, regardless of the ideals we profess, our wants us to be too busy hating each other to focus on what is happening to our country.  Take a close look at our history as a nation, and you will find that the government has often encouraged strife between groups, often overtly.

  9. cant we compromise and make it a chicken quesadia and beef taco platter?

seriously I don't know why there is a problem there.  Alot of hispanics immagrate to the US for work and I think the preception is that they "take" jobs from the black people. And in some cases that may be true but there are pleanty of lazy people in the US black/white/ whatever color they may be and most hispanics want to work for a better life while people here seem to think they are owed something. But I am a young white male so what do I know?

  10. i don't know but this ******* a*****e in my texas history (he's black) was talking about how it's a disadvantage to be in texas because there are mexicans there and i said that it was racist(which iit is!) but no one agreed with me, so instead i got made fun of and the whole class is still okay with saying things that are ten times worse than that!

  11. There's not really.  I think in California it's pretty much like that.  You get the Chicano's who hate all races.  That think that they are the best of all the latinos and want to dress and walk and listen to "black" music but hate blacks.

But in the eastcoast it's not like that.  (i live in New York)

  12. Unfortunately there is racism.  People want to feel good by telling themselves they are better than another race. Why is there aniomosity between the blacks and the jews?

  13. Maybe the blacks are mad that they don't have a whole section of food in Wal-mart just for them...lol...

    J/K.....
