The left believes in Free speech....BUT>>>>>ONLY WHEN THEY ARE TALKING.....when a left speaker is given the chance to speak and teh right comments after they claim we are being negative and interfering with the persons right to speak when they have already done so.....on the other hand if a Conservative is speaking they send in people to shout the speaker down claiming it is their right....AKA Hypocrites

When Nixon was running against Humphry, the VP under Johnson, the democratic convention was the scene of some of the most violent demonstrations at a convention in modern history.  I know people who were there and it was nuts.

Why did it happen?

The Vietnam war

Why is this happening?

The Iraq war.

Obviously the people are blaming the people in power, and the people feel powerless because the administrations, in both cases, were ignoring the people.

I am not making it an excuse, nor am I condoning it.  But I do see the correlation in history, I remember the scenes very well on the streets of Chicago back then.

It makes sense to protest against the party that is responsible for starting the war. Also, the Republican party has been waging another war against the middle class and working people for the last 8 years. What is so confusing about protesters directing their anger at the evil doers?

I saw that! I thought it was incredible the way those people acted. They smashed in shop windows of people they don't even know. They were like wild animals. In this day and age, well I just was shocked! They are democrats so they wouldn't wanted to get arrested in Denver, where they had those little cages, because they might not be free to wreck things at the RNC. Add to that the attacks on a child for political points,, yeah, they sure are the party of change..
