Explain to me the whole college thing

i'm 14 studying in dominican republic ..i'm goig to go to college in the states once i'm 18 i do not have the privelege of having a school counceler to explain this to me.. and whats this things about undergrad

Undergrad means that you are getting a four year degree from a school. What else do you want to know?

When you go to college for the first time, and are there to earn a bachelors degree (a four year degree), you are considered to be an undergraduate student.  When you have a bachelors degree and are back in school for a higher degree, then you are a graduate student.
