  1. Instead of, for example, being a British society and judging something as immoral because it is strange to you (such as c**k fighting in South America), you understand this phenomenon within the culture it exists. Cultural relativism has a negative connotation today, because it implies that ALL cultural actions are justified within their culture (such as murdering a wife in Muslim culture). Today we try to go for a cultural objectivity.

  2. It's seeing and defining the world from the perspective of your own culture.  Every culture has its biases, just as every person does.

  3. It's the attempt to view other societies from a non-egocentric standpoint.

  4. basically, its what is morally right ir wrong in a particular society.

whether the act is right or wrongdepends on the moral norms of society and not on an absolute standard

  5. Aztec human sacrifice for rain is similiar to American liberalism.

  6. It means you can't understand how other cultures act because you come from a different one and don't approve of their behavior from your cultural standpoint.  Just like they don't approve of us.  It's a discrimination and a pardon all at the same time. Doesn't make much sense but hey nothing does.
