  1. first is to report and make sure actions are taken to stop the abuse or use of classified resources.

second is not to use, market unnecessary commodities that harms the environment.

  2. 1 By making a career of cleaning up the earth, either by inventing new and better ways of creating green energy, or by learning what wildlife needs to flourish.

2 By making a public stand and becoming a symbol that others can look up to in the fight to save the planet.

  3. Reduce your waste. Reduce your usage of plastic bags and paper. That way, less trees will be cut and less polyethene bags will be disposed into the sea and the land

Also, do not buy products made from endangered animals.

  4. How about starting with yourself. Get off your computer and stop wasting precious energy that "pollutes" our environment or decreases biodiversity. Then stop using any resouces including air that some poor little plant or animal might need to say, make an ant hill.

I'm being sarcastic of course, but I see that all these wonderful people answering your question have access to internet, probably purchase prepackaged food and drive their own car. Technology is mutualy exclusive of any type of environmentally sound behavior. The second the first wheel ground along it created a road, made erosion, and thus a place unsuitable for habitate for something.

The people that can tell you the answer are in the hills of a small country in south america, asia, perhaps the country folk of old america/europe. They work their own land, like their families have for centuries, and live off of what they plant. They aren't worrying about the monkies...they worry about putting food on the table and who their child will find to marry.

Anyone that attempts an answer in this forum...is simply informing the world..."do as I say not as I do".

  5. Remove invasive, non-native species of plants from your landscape and plant only things native to your area EXCEPT if you want to plant a small garden to provide your family with food - having smaller and diverse gardens is much better for diversity than having professional farms that grow thousands of acres of one crop.  Even foods that aren't exactly native to your area can be grown successfully and safely, as long as they are tended and maintained and not allowed to become invasive. GROW FOOD, NOT LAWNS.

  6. by using recicled paper ( since the regular paper destroys trees which turn in less dioversity i.e amazonas in south america) & also by not moving to regions where animals have lived for thousands of years ( i.e the everglades in florida)

  7. you can eradicate invasive species, and you can work to conserve resources as in  not cutting down trees

  8. Do not kill ANYTHING if you can help it. That scary spider on your wall , may be the last of it's kind, or may keep other harmful insects in check. Do not litter. Thousands of animals die because they ingest things like cigarette butts, which then lodge in their intestines where they swell up and the animal slowly starves to death.

  9. First recycle all you can (paper .. glass .. plastics .. etc); this way you can be another small cog in the big environmental machine ;)

    Then get yourself head!

1 of 4 species on this planet is listed as endangered! And you could do something about it. Ask in your area any env. agency how can you help with, and/or pick an animal (i know it sounds weird this way but you cannot do all by yourself .. try to do one thing and do it right) preferably near your area so you could do some research about it .. and let people hear what you have to say. How everything in your area impacts this animal`s habitat, make small measures, try to convince your community to fight for a cause.

If you can do this... consider yourself a happy and fulfilled person. This is much harder than it sounds - you will have to invest in the project (time/money/resources) and for a while you`ll be talking alone.

    Make yourself heard!

Be sure to collaborate with some large agencies (e.g. Greenpeace ) as they can help a lot with information and feedback on your activities/plans.

Or if you are a multimillionaire ... you could just invest 50mil usd into an environmental foundation ;)

  10. First, buy organic. Organic farming means less harmful toxic chemicals seeping into the ground and into water ways and making animals toxic and dead.

Second, support charities that are involved in preserving biodiversity, like the world wildlife fund.
