tropism is a response stimulated from the environment factors, for example, light and gravity.

if there were no tropism, basically the plant would not react towards growth and mineral absorption.

tropism keeps in order for the plant to grow, to grow towards light, for roots to grow downwards. if there were no tropism, the plant would not grow properly and the plant would be disorientated.

with an abnormal growth and no response to light and gravity, roots would grow outside the ground and the plant shoots would not grow towards light.

therefore, plants would wilt because of deficiency of light and mineral absorption in the ground
