  1. Art, as an activity,  precedes reading and writing and 'rithmetic.   It is basic to math (pattern -- of any kind --recognition) and to reading and writing (pre-verbal self expression).  I think art serves as a basis, if not the basis, for higher learning.

  2. Because the very skill a child has in art at an early age is very basic.

A young child doesn't go out his/her way to produce a family portrait. Instead they make a beautiful picture of colour. which is considered basic art.

  3. Because no body appreciates true art these days.

  4. If you consider life, everything stems from art in various shapes, forms and colors.  Art is a pro type or a core of all our knowledge.

  5. art is "basic" for a variety of reasons

1 there is no right or wrong of finished projects(for true art)

2 children learn by using their hands and the best way to use your hands involves manipulating things, then their fingers, hands, etc gain strength and the ability to move in prescribed manners to use other objects(pens, markers, pencils, scissors)

3 using art materials is a great way to accomplish what is called "incidental learnin" meaning learning that is accomplished when the child does not realize they are learning--colors, shapes, sizes, textures, etc

    4 it is FUN!!!!

  6. because child is in his early interface with the world, child needs to to discover by senses all the outer things; shapes, colors, forms....... for such things this as ART.

at this early stage of a child mental development we are able to discover the most brilliant and creativeness of a child.

  7. Many teachers consider art basic because they can just send the kids off drawing or something easy like that.
