Can someone clarify what each of these catagories mean, and how good the score is approximate to most test takers for that catagory?

GT - 129

GM - 120

EL - 131

CL - 129

MM - 120

SC - 120

CO - 121

FA - 132

OF - 119

ST - 130

The test would have been taken in the late '90's if that makes a difference, if things have changed on the test since then.

  1. The ASVAB hasn't changed all that much since the 90's.  The main difference being computerized vs written.  But even today, the military sill uses written exams.

Those scores are quite good.  As a matter of fact, and to quote "tony the tiger", "THEY'RE GREAT".  I suspect the overall QT score on this exam was over 80.  You can pretty much qualify yourself for most incentive programs ie. college fund, tour length and bonuses.

It wouldn't matter much if I explained the difference to you because the scores that you give are relatively level across the board meaning as long as a job opening exists, and he or she is physically and morally qualified for the position, the job is theirs.

But the grand scheme of "line scores" is to represent occupational readiness for the sake of training in many different fields.
