Express Trend lives up to her reputation by winning the Coralpoker.com Marathon Open
The 750 metres Coralpoker.com Marathon Open Race at Romford was won by Express Trend, who was the favourite to win the event on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. The cash prize for the winner was £500.
Express Trend has been in sublime form recently, as this was her fourth consecutive Open Race victory.

Her performances were good enough to earn her a starting price of 11 to 10, and she lived up to her reputation by winning once again.
However, the victory was not that easy for the brindle b***h, as she just managed to end up at the top by a short head’s distance.

Her race completion time was 47.57, and she had broken in from trap number five.
The E McNair trained b***h is the daughter of Kiowa Sweet Trey out of Express Mist and was born in May 2009.
A valiant effort from Portavoe Lass went in vain, as she was 0.01 seconds adrift of the race winning b***h.

She had a starting price of 4 to 1, and completed the total distance in 47.58 seconds, after popping out from trap number three.
The K. R. Hutton trained b***h was born in July 2009, and is the daughter of Westmead Hawk out of Have a Fit.
Third place went to Lottes Girl, trained by H J Dimmock. She also ran well and gave a tough time to the top two b*****s, but ran out of gas towards the end of the race.

Her starting price was 5 to 1 and she covered the total race distance in 47.62 seconds, after breaking in from trap number four.
Lottes Girl is the daughter of Westmead Hawk out of Lively Jubbley, and was born in July, 2008.
Fourth place was taken by Millwards Swaby, trained by P. W. Young. She also displayed very good speed in the race and completed the overall distance in 47.70 seconds, after going in from trap number two.
Millwards Swaby is the daughter of Westmead Hawk out of Girl with Guitar, and was born in April 2009.
The final two spots were filled by Mountjoy Orion and Crossfield Luca. The latter of the two was the only one finishing the race in more than 25 seconds.
All in all, the race was a very exciting one, as the top five greyhounds had a very tough battle. They were only separated by 0.14 seconds, which made the event quite a treat to watch.
