For my exploring art class I have to make an expressionistic self-portrait. It needs to not only be a self-portrait, but it has to in some way (background or whatever...) that describes me. I run cross country I swim (competitively) and run track for my school. anyone have ideas of what I could do?

  1. wind symbolizes speed and since speed is the cornerstone of your competition perhaps in some way illustrate the wind maybe in a setting with trees by a body of water - trees to represent your cross country and water for your swimming.

Take a look at Van Gogh's 'Poppies near Vetheuil' or 'Cornfield and Cypress Trees.'
