  1. how isit haunting you... I have like 12 misdemeanors and I can get a job everywhere I apply..   dont be ashamed of your crimes... its their world we are just living in it.   those cops break more laws then you do...  dont expunge it, save that for something worth wild.. no employer is going to care about a misdemeanor.. and you dont have to claim a misdemeanor on a app, just felonies... and if you wanto to.. say it was  a long time ago and you have learned..  its a common misconseption that you cant get a job if you have petty crimes on your record.. its a scare tactice like prison s*x...

  2. you need to hire a attorney to get something expunged off your record

    you cannot do it yourself

  3. i had a felony reduced to a misdemeanor expunged off my record. do it yourself, it's much cheaper than hiring an attorney to do it. go to the police station in the city you were arrested. tell them you want to expunge this off your record. it is usually $50. after you fill out the paper work you must wait for adult probation to contact you. this is a one time deal. good luck.

three years is NOT long enough. my crime was in the early nineties and it stopped me from getting a good job. it will be on your record forever. get it expunged.

i expunged my own record. you do NOT need an attorney.

  4. Most cities offer help with expunging your record. It is very easy and can only cost about $50.

Go to the place where your charge was filed against you at the Clerk of Courts, they can usually direct you to the forms or an agency that can help you file.

You can expect to have to keep a clean record for a period of time and 3 years should be long enough.

    Good luck!
