  1. in case you missed it...nbc just did a short piece on extended warranties in many areas.....do some research first....most of them regardless of the product, aren't worth the paper their written on when it comes right down to it. Its a close thing to being a scam without being illegal frankly. For every one(1) who gets something out of it...there are thousands who have paid money, and that's all.In other words it's insurance you'll probibly never need...In your case especially(with that many miles on your vehicle)...you'll need a new vehicle  waaay more than an extended warranty.Even with some extended warranties, they'll nickle'n'dime you to death with things NOT covered under the warranty..beware!....good luck.

  2. Go to the dealer you bought the car from. They can best inform you about manufactures warrenty extensions.

  3. It depends on how much risk you are willing to take. The people offering those warranties do so to make money, so on average most owners will pay more for the warranty then they will get out of it.

  4. Extended warranties are one of the very best ways to waste your hard earned money.  Instead, Put the money you would be spending in premiums in the bank and when/if you need repairs, use the money in your bank account
