Extending my visa?

I am travelling around OZ and my visa expires in Jan 09,i want to stay out here for longer than that and want to know how to go about extending it.Can you only do that by fruit picking or are there other ways to go about it??

  1. You may be able to extend your visa, but how will depend on what type of visa you entered under.

    If you have a 417 Working Holiday visa, it may be possible to extend it if you have completed 3 months of seasonal work in regional Australia. The work MUST be completed in regional Australia (determined by postcode).

    I don't think it's possible to extend a 467 Working Holiday visa but it looks as if you're from the UK so you would be on a 417.


  2. if your on a working holiday visa you can only apply for a 2nd visa if you have done the required rural seasonal work,such as fruit picking
