Plugging them into each other. (a R.P.T. is a extension cord wiht multiple plugs on the end) it says: Do not plug into another relocatable power tap. Currently in to base ment we have two extension cords/R.P.T.'s attached to each other to make the distance I was just about the add this one cause the other one only has four plugs (TV/cable box/clock radio) and i need two more (Stereo/MP3 speakers)-this one has 6. is it a fire hazard and how serious is it if your only using it as a extension cord? I really need it though.

please help, thanks! xx

  1. It is not a fire hazard if used properly. Don't overload it, don't plug one RPT into another, plug it directly into a wall outlet and don't use an extension cord. This information is from the International Fire Code. You can find more info by serching Underwriters Laboratoy.
