Extension visit visa free on arival?

Question

I came on 30 May in the UAE on a visit visa free on arival from 60 days.(European citizen) At 28 July I went from Sharjah Airport to Oman and back to get another 60 days before the visa regulations at 1 Aug. Now my visa ends on 28 Sept. What is better? To pay for extension for 30 days or going to Oman again? Or am I not allowed to extend again?

That's a very good question and I hope to see an answer to this because I never found one. I even received different answers on this subject from different Immigration officers.

On one hand: no more visa runs, but on the other hand: no information about Nationalities who can obtain a visa up-on-arrival. Going by the old rules you would be allowed to extend again for 30 days (it's also said, who issued the visa before the new rules will be handled regarding the old rules). Regarding the new rules it might be possible to obtain a 90 visit days visa.

Personal opinion: could be possible that you do not find any dependable information on this subject, because regarding the new rules this situation should not occur no more. You are not allowed to work while on a visit visa! You are suppose to have an employment, mission or residence visa.

Going by your previous question where you stated that you work, I would ask the PRO of the company to appy on you behalf for an employment or mission visa on which you enter the UAE again. By then demand your residence visa.

To be honest, your problem surprises me a bit. Do you know how strict the Authorities are getting on people working on visit visas? Getting caught means you will receive a ban for life!
