I bought a Fantom Titanium II 200GB External Hard Drive earlier this year. I have an iMac G5 with Mac OSX Tiger installed. It worked fine for the first few months, but this summer, it stopped showing up on my computer all together. I thought maybe it was one of my Mac updates, but after doing some research on that and a whole lot of fiddling, I realized it wasn't that. I've spent the last few months trying to figure out and troubleshoot the problem, but I have no idea what to do. It doesn't even recognize it when it's plugged in for me to access it on Apple's Disk Utility to reformat it. Any ideas? i have a seagate 100gb drive that has worked seamlessly for ages, but now it will not show up on my computer, i really need it as a lot of my work is on there. can anyone help? I have tried to re-map the drive but if it doesn't show up I can't tell the computer what 'folder' to look into. any help is much appreciated I have a External Hard drive that won't show on the desk top ether. I think It's too full. I've tried a number of things. Mac utilities sees it but, I can't run the first aid on it any suggestions?
