Question:

External Laptop Fan for Gaming?

So, I really need a laptop fan. Some days ago, my computer reached 85 C°, and it shutdown. I use my laptop mainly for gaming, so a big fan pad wouldn't be a problem. My computer is over-clocked, so you can expect serious over-heating.

My price range of the fan is up to $40, and I need it for a 17" laptop. If you know any durable and good fan pad, please answer.

Thanks.

  1. wow overclocking a laptop... intense. u might just want to use a fan.

  2. Targus.  At any large computer retailer.  But they don't move that much air, and the fans last about a year.  (About $30)

But if your GPU can't take it (that's the usual problem when gaming with a loptop and it shuts down), a fan on the bottom won't solve much - the GPU will overheat faster than you can cool it.  You need a cooler directly on the GPU's CPU.
