Is there a device available that can play video from an external usb hard drive directly to an audio/video device using RCA, S Video etc?

  1. NO. the program is stored as a file and your tv cant read it no matter what type of connection you use. Dish network 722 dvr allow the use of an external h/d for program storage but it can only be played back thru the receiver.. meaning you cant unload those files to a pc either
