Evironmental types keep saying that either hundreds or thousands of species become extinct each and every day. And, it's all because of evil industry (US industry to be exact).

So, I have but one simple question. Can anybody name those hundreds or thousands of species that will become extinct today? Can anybody name even one?

  1. Most of the "species" are common animals with small variations. According to the way science classifys animals as species, beetles from two trees 10ft apart in the rain forrest count as separate species. So thats how they can say that "thousands" of species become extinct every day. Every tree that goes down, they figure thats hundreds of "species" right there.

  2. Frogs.  Most of them are frogs.

  3. Thousands of species went extinct every year long before man was even a factor. It is nature at its best. Man may also some day.

Many more species have come and gone naturally than man has caused. Unlike man, Nature has no conscience and kills with abandon.

  4. im not going to sit here and list them all, but why? do you really find it that hard to believe that thats true? human activities in general put a lot of stress on the planet, i know it's not just Americans. It is is true that we cause quite a bit of it though. us and China. Do some research on your own.

  5. I can't remember the type of bumblebee, but I think some out west (California) went extinct this year.
