Extra Airsoft Magazines?

I am looking to buy a mp5 electric airsoft gun from kapowwe.com. On many websites you are able to buy extra magazines. If my gun says it has 200rounds, and I buy a magazine that says 200rounds, does that mean i still have 200 or does it mean I now have 400rounds.

If your gun comes with a clip w/ 200 round capacity, and you buy a clip w/ 200 rds, you have 400 rds waiting to be used, but in separate clips. So you still have 200 rds, just in two places. However, if the gun does not have a clip, then you have only 200 rds at your disposal if you get the clip. If the gun has an internal reservoir, then a clip won't work in it. Odds are you are talking about a high cap magazine, so you have 400rds in two places.

200 rds lasts a long time, so I don't think another clip would be necessary.
