Extra room into teen hangout?

This is going to sound alot like another question i found on Yahoo but, I'm not into the rocker style. I have a room in my basement 9' by 8' so space is limited. I wanted to make it into a teen hangout room for me and my friends. I wanted to go with maybe a beach/surfer look for the room. ANY IDEAS are wanted :] thankss
