  1. Bring an extra bag so that if you go to a gift shop and end up buying lots of souvenirs you will have something to carry them in on the way home.

  2. Dont for get yourself I did that before packed the night before and I over sleep and missed my plain.

  3. It depends on where you are going.  Out of the country?  Take a photocopy of your passport and ID and keep it in a hidden spot in your luggage, away from the originals.  If you are taking any credit/debit cards, make sure you call your bank or card companies and let them know how long you plan to be where you are going so they don't 'red flag' your card usage.  Also, take along copies of your credit cards (front and back) with the numbers to the companies written down, that way if you loose a card, you can call ASAP with the card number and they  can cancel it.  Make sure you have cash too, you never know when you might need it.  Debit cards are great, but some places don't accept them.  When flying somewhere,  I like to keep an extra change of clothes in my carry-on, that way if your luggage gets lost (it does happen) you have at least one set of extra clothes.  If you are going to be traveling to a different country, try and pick up a phrase book, one that is great for traveling, you don't need a HUGE dictionary because it won't give you important phrases such as "I need a doctor" or "Where is the hotel"  they seem like the cheesiest phrases that they have, but they can be very important.  At least be able to ask if they speak English in their language and know what "Yes," "No" mean, or even "A little," and if they don't, they may be able to direct you to someone who can.  In my past experiences with traveling to a foreign country, when they see you are at least trying they warm up much quicker.  If you are flying, make sure you look up the 3-1-1 rule for carry-on items.  I would hate for you to have your favorite toothpaste or lotion thrown out just because you didn't know.  You can go to the TSA website and find more info about what you can and cannot have.

Always, remember to have fun and be safe on every trip you take.  Make sure family members and friends know when to expect you back and try to keep in touch too.

I know you said you have the basics and camera, but with you being a girl, make sure you have plenty of clothes, "personal hygiene" products that most men hate to even think about.  I would hate to be away from home and away from a store to buy these things when they are needed.

Just make sure you pack for the trip.  If you are going camping, you don't need to take high heels with you.  And if you are going to be sightseeing, it's a great idea to leave your flip-flops and heels at your hotel.  Pack comfortable walking shoes.  Make sure you have plenty film for your camera unless you are using a digital.  If you are using a digital, make sure you have your charger, or an extra battery pack.  I hope I covered everything.  Feel free to contact me.
