who can you extract some files that are compresed with .rar extension on mac espicially when they are compresed in many files

what program is needed

    The best program for opening rar files, and is free, is unrarX

    http://www.unrarx.com/

    There are others such as the Unarchiver, but I've found these are unreliable for rar file.  unrarX always does a great job.
