there is an extremely aggressive tom cat in my area who is an over bred burmese owned by my neighbour who is mentally disabled.

this cat attacks other animals all the time but we scared him out of our garden

but since we got a new cats he has been back , he is very interested in our 11month old girl molly.

yesterday he attacked her and as such 'raped' her if a cat can be raped and she is bleeding form her a**s and is a total wreck. the vet has told us how to deal with her on the medical front

but we at totally unsure what to do about this male cat, the easy option would be to make molly and indoor cat but she wont have that and if she gets stuck in the house for too long she gets very aggressive .

so we were wondering what he could do about this cat. my dad suggested capturing it and having it put down ,i would feel terrible for the old lady but she cant be talked to because she is mentally disabled but this cant happen again.

any advise?

  1. Call your local police and explain the situation. They will send animal control over to take care of it. Don't do anything to the cat yourself as you could be charged with animal cruelty. Cats breeding is very violent so I wouldn't say she was raped, you didn't say if Molly is spayed or not that might help with her aggression at being inside. All of my cats live inside and are perfectly happy. Good luck to you and Molly.

  2. if she is mentally disabled and cannot properly take care of her cat i.e. cannot be talked to about a problem with her cat. then she doesnt need to have an animal. call animal control.

  3. Contact the local ASPCA.  Letting an animal run around like that is considered inhumane treatment.  They will deal with it accordingly.  Normally they do not put them down, but neuter\spay and re-adopt it.

  4. Call your police department and/or your animal control department in your city. Explain the problem and see what they suggest.

BTW: cats aren't "raped" by other cats. They breed, and it's always very violent-sounding to humans (though it isn't to the cats.) However--if she's bleeding from the a**s, she wasn't bred by a cat--even dumb cats don't make a mistake about which part goes where. Something else may be wrong. I'd keep your cat indoors and re-train her to like it instead of letting her out. More than just unsupervised breeding can hurt her out there.
