the top of the line Alienware Area 51 with dual 8800gtx, high end quad core raid0, etc is about $6000

i would reccomend buying a really c**p one and then just buy vista 64 bit,a good ard drive and alot of ram

it would cost about £600 max

2gb ram costs about £30

i think the max ram you can get on a laptop is about 4gb becuase its small it only has enough room for 2 ram sticks and the max ram a stick has now days is 2gb

make sure you get a good processor like 3.00ghz

The problem with the answer above me is that its quite difficult to install new RAM cards etc into a Laptop.

I would reccommend getting an alienware gaming laptop as there designed for gaming but are rather expensive
