Extreme Sailing Series moves to Nice in France for Act 7 – Sailing news
After a successful completion of Act 6 at Trapani, 2011 Extreme Sailing Series is now heading to Nice in France for the commencement of Act 7. All Extreme 40 teams are ready for a superb tournament ahead, starting from Wednesday, September 28 to Sunday,
October 2, on Mediterranean waters.
The recent event of 2011 Extreme Sailing Series Act 6 was won by Oman’s The Wave, Muscat, skippered by Leigh McMillan at Trapani. The Wave, Muscat crew worked really hard to claim the title but in the overall standings of the circuit, they still have a long
way to go, as they are currently at third place with 49 points after the leader board, Luna Rossa 51 and Russia’s Groupe Edmond de Rothschild.
However, Act 7 will be another thrilling event in the Extreme Sailing Circuit as all top guns of the Extreme circuit will be gathered in France in late September. All the teams will be looking forward to play positive and finish on top in the event.
The Extreme Race Village for Extreme Sailing Series Act 7 will be established in the centre of Nice at Promenade des Anglais and the race course will be set on the Bay of Angels.
