  1. No, what would be the point after 30 years in prison.

  2. YES!!!

  3. Then the Guildford bombers and Barry George would be dead; and they in the end were not guilty.

  4. I used to like you but now I see how daft you are. What a shame.

  5. get rid of them the same way they did their victums

  6. Sitting in a jail cell is more punishment than a quick death.

    It cost far more to execute someone than it does do have them spend life in prison.

    The death penalty is much more expensive than life without parole because the Constitution requires a long and complex judicial process for capital cases. This process is needed in order to ensure that Innocent men and woman are not executed for crimes they did not commit, and even with these protections the risk of executing an innocent person can not be completely eliminated.

    California taxpayers pay at least $117 million each year post-trial seeking execution of the people currently on death row;

    Executing all of the people currently on death row, or waiting for them to die there of other causes, will cost California an estimated $4 BILLION MORE than if they had been sentenced to die in prison of disease, injury, or old age;

    I guess everyone who is for the death penalty because of the cost is now opposed to the death penalty since it is less expensive.

  7. Why wait the 30? Just hang them now.

  8. If I agreed with the death penalty, why would I want to spend millions to keep the clowns in jail for 30 yrs first?

    One or the other, pick one.

  9. uh..do you realize how expensive(on taxpayers) 30 yrs.in prison is?? And nothing but an unmarked grave to show for it in the end??..No thanks..Think "cost effective" here.....one (one way) plane ticket to, say, Turkey or some other neat country with a really nice record for penal reform....but ...before he gets there we make sure everyone there knows he's a child molester.....case closed.problem solved.

  10. Why waste tax payer's $s, just hang them.

  11. Are those criminals that commit their crimes by jumping out of airplanes and/or while jumping on bicycles, skateboards or dirt bikes?

  12. NO

  13. No way! how do you or the courts define 'extreme criminals'.

  14. like mass murderers/serial killers that sort of thing? then yes.

    im not usually one for capital punishment but i think death immediately, but no torture or whatever someone said. Don't bother with prison for them there is no reconciling for them with society and we're the ones who have to pay for them.

    i need to add that there needs to be concrete evidence.

  15. Keeping a criminal alive costs the taxpayers a lot of money.  But letting them live for 30 years and then hanging them seems inhumane.

  16. No.  Aside from the fact that only the Lord God has the right to take back a life which He gave, the laws of a state has provided what is the proper penalty to impose upon criminals based on the crimes they committed.  Even criminals have a right just and humane treatment and a chance to reform.  That is the reason why the death penalty has been abolished because killing someone even a hardened criminal will not undo the crime.  Moreover, he is a human being and we are all supposed to be more civilized than the people in past histories who hanged their fellowmen.

  17. Death by torture, then yea.

  18. Not the hang 'em and flog 'em brigade again, (yawn)

    Dreary dim muppets.

  19. Bearing in mind that no punishment can ever fit the commission of 'serious crime', what about the innocent who are wrongly convicted and not exonerated until too late?
