Question:

Extremely cluttered computer?

On my current PC I really like it and it still runs great but I have a bunch of files that I don't need because i had programs installed then i uninstalled them and i want to get rid of those files and i really want to completely restore my comp to when i bought it but i dont have a copy of that and i wouldnt mind getting a new hard drive or anything just i dont want to get a new computer. any help?

  1. I'd download ccleaner and run it. It helps get rid of inactive shortcuts and missing sections of downloads


  2. Shame you don't have the cd, there's always the option of buying a new operating system. Though if there's anything you want to save you'll need to back it up, also computer manufacturers sell those cds since people lose them all the time.

    But usually the cheapest and less troublesome way is to go delete the files yourself. It takes some time, but it saves money, but if you rather not do that then I'd recommend just backing up and buying a new operating system or restore cd if you like software that you got with your computer.  

  3. if it is a dell pc then you can go to their website and they have a software that if you buy it put it in the cd drive and it will clean up your whole computer for you just go to Dell.com  they have the software there... Hope that helps you...
