I am very desperate for any tips whatsoever to get better.

i'll tell you the workout equipment and the stuff i have to use.

can very easily bench 50 lbs 20 times straight.

clutch defense

not a good stealer/blocker.

good at moving w/o the ball (huge influence is rip hamilton)

good at using my pivot (most people in my age dribble right away)

70 percent foul (60 is highschool expectancy)

i have the following equipment:

raises seat for:

-squats

use the bar on the bench for:

-curls

-underhand curls

-squats

i also have:

jump rope

stairs for pushups

and i go to a gym whenever i get a ride (courts and gym)

i also do a 6 pack routine

please give me basketball drills for my weak spots (handling, choking, and bringing the ball up)

also ANYTHING else.

  1. just when you go to the gym start playing with people older then you like that are in high school and you will get better bc you wont choke i dont choke anymore because i play with cats that are older then me and a lot of those guys im a lot better then now

and you should start freestyle dribbling like going crazy *** **** with it

dont get scared ckuz everyone has those moments and deng your vert is weak

  2. My coach gives me a bunch of ball handeling drills, like going around a circle around my head, waist, knees, then doing figure 8 through my legs, just basically stuff that makes you move the ball around without looking

  3. so your weaknesses are handling, choking, and playing pg pretty much. same as me, so i will tell you the drills i have.

First of all, to be able to handle yourself anywhere you play, you have to get stronger. im not saying you are weak, its just that you can never be too strong, especially when playing pg. you sound like you have a very sweet shot, and i envy you lol. but that will play an important part in your developement as a good player.

anyway, to get stronger, start off with curls. i know they are simple, but trust me you will be thankful in the long run. first of all, you have to know what the max is you can curl. whatever that is, take 5 pounds off of that, and rep about 8-10 to start off. take a 30 sec break, and add those 5 pounds back, and curl as much as you can, no matter how many it is. once your muscles are burning or exhausted, take a break so they can rest. once you cannot feel the burn anymore, take 10 pounds off of your max, and rep 8-10 for a cool off. do this three times a week.

next, your legs. jumping rope is a VERY good way to get those calves up. whatever your limit is, set a certain number of minutes to steadily jump rope, at an average pace. then, take a break to your calves can catch up. once they feel ok, go for one minute at a time as fast as you can, not jumping but stepping, or running i guess. then, do the average again to cool off. do this 3 times a week you dont do your arms.

that should leave one day. i dont know how big your hoop/court is, but hopefully the hoop is as big as regulation, your court is at least a half court, and you know where the free throw line is. if not, a local rec center or park should help you with these.

anyway, to work your ball handling, start at one end, and dribble as fast as you can to the other, all the while dodging invisible opponents, crossing over every few seconds, and finish with one of your .998 layups lol. that will dramatically increase your handling/bringing the ball up, since you will be ready for opponents while off balance and can finish easily.

on the choking part, this will take some time. dont leave the gym until you can hit 12 free throws in a row. i know it sounds easy, but try it and you will be surprised. making at least 12 will keep you rhythm going as you take those clutch time free throws.

work on that during all the offseason, and i guarantee you your coach will be pleasantly surprised at how much work you have put into your game.

  4. just run...work on getting faster.

  5. My best advice is you go out and play against people you don't know at a park. Don't be afraid of them. Do whatever you can do to win.

If you lose, try to think about what you did wrong and what the other person did to beat you and learn from it.

    Cheers!

  6. omg you are fit enough with all that equipment, most fitness stores don't have  that much stuff
