  1. ARENT THERE ENOUGH ANIMALS BEING PUT TO SLEEP EVERYDAY CAUSE THERE ARENT ENOUGH HOMES FOR THEM WHY WOULD WANT O BRING MORE KITTIES INTO THE WORLD

  2. You can not breed the cat and make anything off the kittens.  The cat has no papers.  It needs to be a registered pure breed that is the correct color and is an excellent example of the breed standard.

No reputable breeder or owner would breed there cat with your cat because they would not be able to sell the kittens.

It would probably be in your best interest to get him fixed before he matures, because once he starts calling for females he will not stop even when fixed.

  3. i wouldn't breed him unless you had his pedigree papers proving he was Mau.

Egyptian Maus aren't accepted as Calico. they are smoke, bronze, and silver. so ethically, you're kitty shouldn't be bred due to breed standards.

just enjoy your pretty kitty, and be proud he resembles a historical breed of cat : )

you can get ahold of some breeders of egyptian Maus at the AIME.US website.

  4. An Egytpian Mau is not rare, it's just one of many breeds. You would need papers to show he is a true Egytpian Mau before anyone would use it as a stud.

  5. Hi there,

While I am sure your kitty is beautiful, Egyptian Maus are not considered to be a "rare" breed of cat.

You can read all about them by visiting:

You would do best to have your cat neutered. Since your cat is not registered and has no papers, he has no value in a breeding program, but of course has great value to you as someone who loves him.

Additionally, an intact male cat will begin spraying and can be more aggressive than a neuter. You don't want to have a cat spraying all over your house. The smell is highly offensive.

With all the unwanted cats who long for homes, bringing more into the world is not needed.

But go to a cat show and see these gorgeous cats and enjoy them.

I wish you the best with your beautiful cat.

  6. Unless you have papers to prove this cat is an Egyptian Mau you just have a domestic short hair cat.   Also anyone with a True Purebred Egyptian Mau cat will go to a reputable breeder to breed them to a registered Purebred Egyptian Mau.  For the safety of your cat it really is best to have him neutered since you also did say he is getting beat up from fighting with other males cats that are running outside not neutered.

  7. Unless you have papers proving that he is a purebred cat, which you do not, you cannot represent him as a purebred breeder.  If you have never lived with an intact adult male cat, you will learn quickly that their urine is extremely stinky and that he will likely spray whatever he likes.  Also, cat breeding stock does not draw the money that dog breed stock does and mostly established breeders exchange breeding stock.  Get a grip and neuter the cat. This is not such a rare breed.  They are recognized in the US.  You have big dreams wrapped around this and I can assure you that nothing will come of it.

  8. With no proof that he's a purebred other than picture comparison, no responsible person is going to want to use him as a stud.

Just get the guy neutered and let him live out his life as a spoiled pet. There's enough cats in the world. Don't add to it.
