Extremely sensitive to sunlight with an eye infection?

i have a bacterial infection of my eye and its really extremely sensitive to light. my eye is fine until i get even just a glimpse of light and it starts watering and unable to stay open. is this normal?

  1. Yes it is, my son just got over an eye infection and was told to wear very dark sunglasses until it healed. If you have not seen your eye Dr for this contact him/her right away.
