Extremly confused about Verizon wireless card?

when i bought my verizon wireless card...i was told that i being we have a limit of 5GB that he's never seen or believe its possible to go over that...well i have...when i got it..i told my mom about it and she went out and bought one too..and her bill is over 300...i've gone over just by a little..but i dont know what 5gb are...i dont know really what causes it to go over..if its left connected at night..without me using it..does it still use up my gb's?? i'm confused...

  1. gb is an amount of memory (like a kb or mb) gb stands for gigabyte. so what it means is you are only aloud to use up to 5 gb's worth of web pages and downloads per month (or year etc.) normal web browsing would mean that you use about 2gb. downloading big files can make  you go over your limit, and also computer viruses are constantly downloading so they cause problems too.


  2. I have a verizon card and  I stay online 24/7 the bill $69.00 . Always the same ..No change . Talk to Customer Service
