Question:

Eye Color Change?

I'm in my 40's and have always been complimented on my light golden eyes. Within the last year, however, one of my eyes have darkened so I have one golden brown and one a darker brown. I have been for a regular eye exam within the last two months and nothing but a slight rise in my eye pressures were found. Can your eyes change color as you get older?

  1. thats an unusual way for eyes to change but yes, they do change, my eyes were once a royal blue now they are more of a greyish aquamarine with gold specks in them, and eventually my eyes will turn grey (i have my moms eyes)

  2. when my cousin was small he had black hair and blackish eyes...noww hes got bright blue eyes and brown hair. thats wierd. so yehh i guess it can change

  3. Maybe this got to do with our DNA chromosome. This theory may also same with our hair as we get older our hair became white as there are no colour pigment being release by our body.Hope this will solve your question.

  4. Yes eye colour can change with age due to chemical changes that take place with age.

Another way is if you have had eye surgery ,as i had a blue eye that turned green after an eye operation then it changed to brown with another eye operation
