Eye Dilation?

Yesterday, I had my eyes dilated and today there is still some residual symptoms of dialation. I went out in the sun. Did I get eye damage?

No.  when I had my eyes dialated they were sensitive and slightly sore for a few days.  Keep sunglasses handy or wear a cap to keep the sun out of your eyes.

How long will dilation last?

For most people, it usually lasts from four to

six hours.

• Are there any side effects?

Most people have few, if any, side effects.

You may experience glare or sensitivity to

light, and blurring of your near vision. Using

a pair of sunglasses can help reduce the

glare and sensitivity. Some people feel

uncomfortable driving after dilation and

arrange for someone to come along to drive

them home.
