Hi i am a 26 year old male who is for the most part healthy other than i do have anxiety attacks. I have eye floaters that look like spider cobwebs in both eyes and they are annoying. I went to the eye dr who did the pupil dilation test and he stated i had "gel" in my eye breaking apart which was causing it. They are so annoying. Sometimes when i am walking or running itll seem like bees are chasing me! Will these ever go away????

  1. i kind of have a different kind of eye floaters, they look like dots floating everytime i move my eyes, i dont think they would ever just go away, they bothered me the first time i got them and i thought i wouldnt be able to see enough to drive but ive learned just to see past them and get used to them like they are part of your eye!so i basically cant see them anymore cause i made them part of my eye. hope i helped.

  2. Go see a doctor before it gets worse!!! My dad has the same thing but worse.  He sees the black hair strainds and cob web type things that just float in his view. His eye doc told him its his blood vessels popping and is making the cobweb/hair straind thing.  His eye is always wetter than normal, almost like a slow tear coming out of his eye.  Please see someone soon.  I just posted a just posted a question about a retina transplant because my dad is almost completly blind from this.

  3. I have a similar problem although I am much older than you and the optician said I would just have to live with it as it a consequence of aging. I haven´t heard about it in someone as young as yourself. Perhaps this is due to dietary problems. What did the doctor say?

  4. u poor apple i hope so pumkin

  5. They will probably never go away.  If you can't really live a quality life with them then the only way to rid yourself of these is with a vitrectomy operation where they remove the vitreous gel and replace it with saline which in turn gets replaced by your own natural aqueous fluid.  Any retinal surgeon can remove them but it is controversial to have it done just for floaters.  However, don't let anyone tell you that it is never done for that reason only.  Check out a couple of links to learn more:

  6. If you have recently had cataract surgery (replacement lens) seeing floaters has significance.  Call the doctor's office and see if you need to make an appointment.
