Eye Glasses Question?

I just fell in love with a pair of frames, however, they're reader glasses. Is there anyway I can go to a place that sells eyeglasses and they can stick my perscription in the frames? Would they do that if it's not their frames?

  1. Yes they will.

  2. Most opticals don't mind of you bring in a frame from somewhere else, so that wouldn't be an issue. Many premade readers will not hold prescription lenses. My suggestion would be to buy the readers and hold on to the receipt.  Take them to your optical and ask if they can use the frame, if the answer is no, just return the readers.  Good Luck

  3. Check the frames around the sides to see if there are screws that come out to change the lenses. You can ask your optometrist for a prescription and take it with the frames to a optician and ask them to put the lenses in those frames.

  4. If you are talking about over the counter $15.00 readers...then no, no one will touch them.

The frames aren't good enough quality to try getting real lenses into.
