I have an eye problem where i see like this piece of fluff or something in the corner of my eye when i am in sunlight and i have no idea what it could be. I am too scared to go to the doctor because cancer runs in my family i am 19 and my dad has had bowel, lung, liver and now has brain cancer but he is fine and goes to work still and is the very positive but that is not the point i am scared of what it could be!!! Has anyone had this problem what should i do? should i go to a doctor or specialist?

Anyone please help if you have had this problem give me some sort of idea what it could be...

Thanks

  1. dont panic i have it too im 16, i went to specsavers and they told me not to worry its called a floater and it has something ti do with jelly like deposits from your retina and there completley not harmfull, just annoying is it like clear and look kinda like a thin piece of jelly? it might go on its own or you could have it for life, its just one of thopse things =] hope this helps

  2. You should consult an ophthalmologist. No one here can effectively diagnose your condition, only an eye doctor can do that who can actually see the problem. All you will get here is speculation, and that may make you more scared.

Never be afraid too find out if you have a health condition. Too many people wait until it's too late to be treated. Not saying this is the case with your eye, but for anything unusual you should always get it checked.  The sooner it's seen, the sooner it can be treated, if necessary.
