I need to get eye surgery, to earn my wings, its been my life dream to become a pilot, and i cant with my current eyes being the way they are,

Rumor has it, that Lasik wont get you into the airforce, infact its worse than having bad vision in the first place.

So i need to find a new surgery, that will help me fullfill my dream of flying.

Please help me

im in high school, and i need to apply at an airforce university in two years! I need this surgery!

    Its non surgical.

  2. Consider Advanced Surface Ablation.  The military approved this type of laser correction a while back.  With ASA, there is no flap made in the cornea.  The laser correction is done to the front surface of the cornea.  After the laser, bandage contact lenses are put on for about 4-5 days while the cornea is healing.  You will be able to see but your vision will flucuate for a few months.  Most people can see well enough to drive in a day or two.  The treatment is excellent but it just has a longer recovery than the lasik procedure.  This surgery is not new.  Make sure the doctor that does the procedure has the Wavelight Allegretto laser.  It is the most accurate laser available.  A lot of doctors don't have it because of the cost.
