Eye burn caused by fire

Hello could anyone please explain to me why my eye color looks darker it was a lot lighter now it is darker. About a year ago i burnt my face in a house fire and the heat also came in contact with my eyes because i had to keep them open and now my eye color has gone darker my pupil also looks a different shape could anyone please explain to me why this is thank you.

You kinda answered your own question.

Although eye colour is hereditary, it doesn't mean it cannot change. Either the change in colour is caused by the damage of the smoke and heat of the fire, either it got changed because of stress factors during your recovery afterwards.
