Ok,

Its a little weird. But, When I see my girlfriend in person, especially when I say something to make her blush, her eyes are like crystal blue. But, at all other times, and in pictures, they are green. Is it possible that when your around a special someone, your eye color can change?

Im looking for a scientific answer here please...

  1. Interesting! Sorry, this isn't all that scientific...But i have a good friend of mine, and I remember when we were just becoming friends, it still happens now..But whenever I saw her and we were talking, her eyes would be like glassy blue, and just amazing, and very transparent looking..But when she was around other people her eyes would be much darker and not as light blue..But whenever we're together, her eyes are very light, glassy blue..

So maybe the actual mood someone's in can change their eyes depending on stress or relaxation..

Like ya know how when sometimes people are tired, some people's eyes will get very red, and like my dad, his eyes look very distraught, and darker blue than usual.

Sometimes when I'm very excited and happy, I notice my eyes are a little lighter brown than lets say if I was mad, or really stressed out..

Maybe it chemical..I'd like to see what other people post, too!

  2. Scientifically....some people's eyes have the ability to change color due to light. This can be due to lack of light or a lot of light...as you said her eyes are green in pictures...so the flash of light caused her eyes to change colors...

another reason may be due to emotions. when someone is very excited, it may cause their eyes to change colors....or if they are depressed it may change colors...

    i hope this helps you

    :)

  3. No. Some medicines do have the ability to change the color of the iris over time, and have been observed to change brown irises to blue.

I think what is probably happening is that due to changing light conditions (say, her looking up at you, moving her head, moving away and toward a light source) it just seems to look like a different color.

  4. I've seen this before a couple of times.

It was when I was battling witches up in New Haven.

Their eyes were green most of the time, but when those chicks were blasting lightning, I swear. Brightest blue eyes I've ever seen.

Okay, I'm sorry, not a serious answer.

The real reason behind this is when methane burns, it radiates a blue hue. SO, if she has that "fire" in her eyes when she's around you, but she also has a bunch of "gas-head" ideas, there you go.
