i've been wearing contact for 6 years now. last year i had a bad infection and stapped wearing them for 6 months. my optician said i had an eyelid infection due to dry eyes and gave me tobdradex. it cleared it up immediately. she also said i need to use moisturising drops all the time to prevent this prom happening. now, a year later i use the dops for contact about 4 times a day but i feel one eye is weird it feels like an eye lid is swollen a bit what are good drops i can use to prevent inflammation.

i hav used superdrug dropt for contact lenses, i am now using tesco cleansing eye drops with natural antibacterials cause they sound good.

is there something powerful i can put in at night when i take out my contacts?

  1. I had the same problem a few weeks ago - My eyeball went bright red, and my lower eyelid swelled.

Take your contacts out right now! I took mine out and went to Boots chemist and asked at the counter - The pharmacist gave me some eyedrops called Brolene.

For these to work and your infection to clear up, you MUST take your contacts out and not wear them for at least 5 days.... Eye infections are a pain, because they cling to your eye for ages!

Your eye will look fine after a few days of using these drops and you may be tempted to stick your contacts back in, but i would not reccomend it! Because eye infections like to hide, and as soon as you put your lense back in the eye goes 'Arrg! My oxygen!!' and the infection goes 'MWahahahahah' and comes straight back!

I reccomend leaving your contacts out for at least 4 weeks - Its an absolute PIAN because i HATE my glasses and LOVE my contacts, but i also hate eye infections, so its worth the wait!!

Go and see your local pharmacist!
