  1. the optician will refer you, but go get your eyes tested  A.S.A.P.

  2. Know need to go to the doctors, l had it last year cant do nothing about once you got it you have to live with it for ever but you do you just get used to it belive me.

  3. When I first had this, I was referred immediately ,to

the Opthomologist(I think) dept., after being seen by G.P.

U must have it checked out, immediately, if U've got

"floaters" in front of U'r eyes. They're too precious to be

    negligent!

  4. No need the Dr. will just say there is nothing that can be done to get rid of floaters.

  5. eh i have them sometimes, i asked about it and the doc said they arent a big deal just annoying.  just ask about it when you get your eye test.

  6. go and see a dr now!

most people have floaters when here an prolim with there retinal it could be detachment  it wont be fuller detachment or you could not see out of the eye but go and see an dr you could look up on retinal detachment. and see what you think.

  7. You need to see an eye doctor. An optician is only licensed to fit and dispense eyeglasses and contacts. I believe in some states they are allowed to refract. Some floaters are normal to have, excessive amounts could be a sign of something worse.

  8. It`s something that happens to some people when they get over 40 my optician told me. It`s quite normal.

  9. I think this is quite normal.  I have this and most people I know have it.  Its nothing to worry about.

  10. If you see an Optician first and your floaters have increased in number or size they will suggest you go to A&E Eye clinic with a possible torn retina for example. This is where the Vitreous Humour (jelly in the rear of the eye) shrinks usually at middle age and can pull/tear the retina.

So if it is a sudden change/ Increase in floaters goto A&E Eye clinic who have better diagnostic equipt and knowlege - I did.

  11. It depends what kind of floaters they are, but go and see your optician.  If they are a sign of anything they will refer you to the local eye clinic/hospital.
