  1. its about £20/30 consultation fee and about £5/6 for the ointment

and as i too live in the uk your cat has to be registered with that vet practice first because most vets won't let you just buy over the counter from them, they prefer to see the cat for themselves, and off course for their fees.

  2. It sounds like your cat has conjunctivitis.  This is common in kittens that are born as strays.  The ointment is not super expensive.  I live in the US and I believe I paid $20 for a tube that you put in the cat's eyes, twice a day.  They may also give you pills (antibiotics) for your cat to take, too.

  3. The eye ointment won't cost a great deal - maybe £5 to £10, but the vet's consultation can be between £20 and £40 for an initial consultation, and about half that for a follow-up.

Vet's are not cheap these days.  If I were you, I'd get the kitten insured with a good company like Pet Plan, and that way you'll only have to pay up to a fixed amount each time you have an illness in your pet.

  4. 20 30$

It cost me $50 when my cat had an infection but he did this laser test to see if there was a tear in her cornea, which was pretty cool to tell you the truth.

didn't catch the uk part til the end, I don't know how much it is there sorry.

  5. My kitten used to have the same problem don't take your kitten to the vet get a damp tissue and wet your kittens eyes daily everykitten goes through that so its nothing to worry about

  6. I appoligise i live in the USA. IT would be about $13.00

  7. Before you take her to the vet, try dabbing her eyes a few times a day for 2 - 3 days with cotton wool soaked in warm, slightly salted water, this often works with conjunctivitis in humans.

What works in humans often works with animals, even antibiotics, it could save you a vet's bill and certainly can't do any harm.
