  1. I've had laser eye surgery. 2 layers of cornea were removed before the laser treatment was carried out. It was very simple and painless.

My only concern at the time was after the layers were removed. I could only see a hazy circle on black where the light above me had been. It only lasted say 20 secs before the laser had done it's job. Once my eye was washed I could see clearly again - relief!

Whatever you're having done good luck, I'm sure all will go well.

  2. yes   i have had an eye op when i was 7 because i was born with a lazy eye, my eye ball was right down by my nose but op went fine and all OK now. after the op the first few days are quite bad with opening your eyes if they cut the eye very sore. oh and the eye drops after twice a day pain lots of pain but i was only 7 so might not be to bad when ya older.

ps. you probably wont but dont cry tears oh my god they hurt.

  3. They are going to cut the top part of eye so they can fix it. I hope I didn't scare you but it worth it. It doesn't hurt.

  4. Good luck - you'll be fine. . . .best place for any eye op here in UK is Moorfield's Eye hospital.  They've even invented an injection into the eye of older patients and are saving the sight of many.  One surgeon on TV yesterday at Moorfield's said it's like this. . . ."the injection costs £10,000 paid for by the NHS.  But looking after a blind person costs many times more than that".

Makes the injection look like a cheap option and a sensible one.

Bionic eyeball implants - sounds Science Fiction - but there was a program about just this on TV couple days back.  d**n, missed that - something about a woman who lost her sight 20+ years back and having it restored with a new bionic eyeball - wow!
