Eye problem...?

why is it that when I read/look at text I can only see half of it and the rest is 'flashing' (like when you look at a light bulb for a long time). Please answer quickly??

you could have migraine symptoms

migraines are not necessarily associated with headaches

a migriane is when blood vessels in your head swell causing; nausea, dizzyness, headaches, vision issues etc... not all symptoms will be present

if the symptoms persist or get worse see a doctor you could have the onset of glaucoma (pressure in the eye)

Okay, thanks for answering my questions.  Flashing lights in your vision can be anything from a ocular migraine which sometimes is accompanied with a headache to much more serious problems as retinal issues.  Ocular migraines are not really treatable - sometimes there is also a wavy or colored aura in your vision as well. If this episode of flashing light has been going on for 2 -3 months - please call an ophthalmologist today.  It could be so many different things and I am concerned for you.  If you don't have an eye doctor please choose one and call today to discuss the problem.  They should have a 24/7 on call that you can leave a message for.  They may tell you to call and make an appointment for tomorrow or may want to see you right away.  Please tell them the very first thing that you are seeing flashing lights in your vision along with blurry vision in the same eye.  You will get a return phone call.  Hope that helps and good luck.  Please call  the eye doctor right away.

get straight to the opticians. you could be long sighted or have a lazy eye. (or squint as its more commonly known)

no you not blind but you need to go and see a doctor sooon or go for an eye test and expline this good luck

Go to your GP, then make an appointment to see your optician, ask to be Glacoma tested, you may have to pay though.
