Eye tests- Drops?

Do they put anything in your eyes before you take an eye test? Like drops of some sort?

  1. No there is no drops places in your eyes before the eye test. They do put drops in little kids eyes to make their pupils bigger since they are young and they are not that big yet. and thats quite dangerous but if you are old than there is nothing put into your eyes. I was doing tests last week for contacts again.. check up and they just measure your eye and then blow air into your eyes.. Nothing Hurts Dont worry  its kind of fun when you confuse the doctor hehehe when he asks you a question.. I always play with them they show me the BIG E and i always say i cant see it and than they get up and ask me how many fingers i see hahaha funny people


  2. Eye drops are part of a comprehensive eye examination, but in most cases are not used to determine visual prescriptions.  They are used to dilate the pupils for a health check or in some cases for a glaucoma test.  You can request not to have any, but a portion of your eye will go unevaluated.
