  1. Waxing them at home is a messy idea, not to mention very easy to stuff up.

If you want to do your own eyebrows at home, you should probably pluck them with tweezers.

Everyone has a different pain tolerance. I personally found that they sting for a split second. I find the woman who does mine puts her finger over the area straight after, which soothes any discomfort.

They should only be red for a couple of hours at the most.

  2. don't do it at home get them done by a pro. i get mine done and then stay red for about 2 hrs.......  but it depends on your skin type....i personal would get them done in the evening wen you are staying at home just to be safe the first time.

  3. If you want to do them cheaper, just get them waxed the first time, and then keep the shape at home by plucking

The eyebrow waxer will judge your natural eyebrows and make them the right shape for your face, whereas at home you can always go too far. If you do them yourself and stuff it up, you can also risk traumatising the hair follicle and they won't grow back.

So stick with the pro (at least at first)

They shouldn't stay red for more than a few hours.
